The Pleven Photovoltaic Plant is situated in the municipality of Pleven, in the northwestern part of Bulgaria. This location is characterized by a well-developed industrial base, well-established infrastructure, and efficient transportation connectivity with the rest of the country.
The two installations of the Pleven Photovoltaic Plant have a total capacity of 9.6 MW. They are equipped with 17,145 bifacial monocrystalline panels that capture sunlight from both sides, resulting in a higher generation of electricity compared to conventional panels. Moreover, these panels are certified to endure high wind and snow loads, ensuring their functionality even in challenging weather conditions. Considering the specific characteristics of the installation sites, the panels are mounted on either east/west tracker structures or fixed structures.
The Pleven Photovoltaic Plant supplies green energy to 3,930 households and contributes to saving 14,500 metric tons of carbon emissions annually.
